Cleaning methods matched to your roof
Not every roof should be cleaned the same way. Too much pressure on the wrong roof can crack tiles, damage coatings or force water under the sheets. We assess your roof first and choose the safest method:

Our roof cleaning process
- Inspection and quote. We look at your roof type, condition, access and the level of growth. Quotes are free and fixed-price, on-site or by photo.
- Protect the property. We take care around gardens, outdoor areas and downpipes.
- Clean. We treat and clean the roof using the method suited to its surface.
- Rinse and tidy. We rinse down the roof and surrounds and leave no mess behind.
Add solar panels, gutters and house washing
While we’re on the roof, we can also clean your solar panels. We clean panels by hand with an eco-friendly detergent, a soft-bristle brush scrub and a low-pressure rinse (see solar panel cleaning). Many customers also book a house wash at the same time, so the whole exterior looks fresh.

Roof cleaning FAQs
Will cleaning damage my roof tiles?
Not when it’s done properly. We choose soft washing or low-pressure methods for tiles and coated roofs to avoid cracking or damaging the surface.
Can you get rid of black streaks and lichen?
Yes. Black streaks are usually algae or mould. Our cleaning solutions break them down at the source, and lichen and moss are removed as part of the clean.
Do you clean solar panels at the same time?
Yes. We can clean your panels during the same visit, using an eco-friendly detergent, a soft-bristle brush and a low-pressure rinse.
Do I need to be home?
Usually not. We need safe access to the roof and a water tap, and we’ll confirm the details when booking.
