Why mould keeps coming back on Gold Coast homes
Mould, algae and lichen love moisture, shade and warmth. Coastal humidity, summer storms and salty air give them all three. Shaded walls, south-facing sides of the house, eaves, fences and paths under trees are usually hit first.

- Inspect the property. We check the surfaces, the type and extent of the growth, and anything nearby that needs protecting, such as gardens, windows and outdoor furniture.
- Choose the right method. Painted walls, render, cladding and roofs usually get a gentle soft wash. Hard surfaces like concrete driveways and paths can take higher-pressure cleaning.
- Apply the treatment. Our solutions are applied at low pressure to break down mould, algae and lichen at the source.
- Rinse and check. Surfaces are rinsed clean and we walk the job to make sure the result is right before we pack up, leaving no mess behind.

Soft washing vs pressure cleaning for mould
High pressure can strip paint, etch render and push water where it shouldn’t go. That’s why most mould on walls and roofs is best handled with soft washing: low pressure, the right cleaning solution, and enough time for it to work. Is soft washing safe for my walls and paint?
Yes. Soft washing uses low pressure and a cleaning solution to do the work, so it’s suited to painted walls, render and cladding where high pressure could cause damage.
Will the mould come back?
Mould will eventually return in humid conditions, but treating it at the source rather than only blasting the surface keeps it away much longer than a water-only rinse.
Are your cleaning products safe for gardens and pets?
We take care to protect gardens and surrounding areas during the job. We’re happy to talk through any concerns when we quote.
Do I need to be home while you work?
Not usually. As long as we can access the outside of the property and a water tap, many jobs can be done while you’re out. We’ll confirm the details when we book.
