What’s included in a house wash
A standard house wash covers the outside of your home from the eaves down:
- External walls: render, brick, painted surfaces, weatherboard and cladding
- Eaves and soffits, including cobweb and spider-web removal
- Window frames, sills and outside surfaces of screens
- Fascias and the outside faces of gutters
- Balconies, balustrades and outdoor entertaining areas
Want more done while we’re there? We can add driveway cleaning, paths, fences, roof cleaning and solar panel cleaning to the same visit.
Soft washing: the safe way to wash a house
Blasting a house with high pressure can strip paint, damage render, force water into window seals and leave marks. That’s why we wash most homes using soft washing. It uses low pressure and gentle cleaning solutions to break down dirt, algae and mould, then rinses it all away. You get a deeper clean that lasts longer, without the risk to your home.
Where higher pressure is the right tool, such as concrete, pavers and hard surfaces, we use pressure cleaning instead. We assess every property and choose the safest method for each surface.
When to book a house wash
- Before selling or renting. A clean exterior makes a strong first impression in listing photos and at open homes.
- Before painting. Painters need a clean surface for paint to bond properly.
- When mould or algae appear. Dark spots and green streaks are a sign it’s time. See our external mould removal service.
- As regular maintenance. Many homeowners book a wash regularly to keep salt, dirt and mould under control.

Will house washing damage my paint or render?
Not with the right method. We use soft washing on painted and rendered surfaces, which relies on low pressure and cleaning solutions rather than force.
Do you clean the windows?
We wash the outside window frames, sills and glass as part of the house wash, rinsing away the dirt and salt. It isn’t a detailed window-polishing service.
Can you wash two-storey homes?
Yes. Talk to us when you request a quote and we’ll confirm access and equipment for your home.
Do I need to be home?
Usually not. We just need access to the outside of the property and a water tap. We’ll confirm the details when booking.
